On a bright spring morning in May 2025, over 25 young dreamers took to the skies during this year’s Tyrell Rhodes Discovery Flight Day—an unforgettable event made possible through the continued partnership between Henderson Aviation and the Hugh J. White Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.
Participants, ranging in age from 8 to 18, were given the chance to step into the cockpit and feel the thrill of flight—many for the first time ever. With support from dedicated pilots, Elite Aviation, and passionate volunteers, each student learned the basics of flight, participated in pre-flight safety briefings, and took part in hands-on flight experiences designed to build confidence and spark curiosity.
