Our chapter has worked with the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, OBAP with their summer ACE Academy. OBAP has a program Explore Aerospace (EA). This semester they will be teaching the course “Introduction to Private Pilot Fundamentals.” It was developed by their own volunteers at OBAP and will give students in aviation a wealth of knowledge. There will be guest speakers, group projects, and awards for the best students. Students from 6th – 12th grade will meet on Zoom, every Saturday from September 20th – December 13th (Excluding Thanksgiving Saturday), about aviation/aerospace/STEM topics. There will be tests, quizzes, and discussion board posts due each week for the students as well.
